Brookfield Police, EMS, Pitch in to Change Elderly Woman's Tire

The woman pulled into Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company's Center Station on Route 133​ Saturday afternoon​ with a flat tire.

BROOKFIELD, CT — An EMS crew and an off-duty police officer pitched in to assist an elderly woman with car trouble on Saturday.

The woman pulled into Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company’s Center Station on Route 133 Saturday afternoon with a flat tire. Three EMS crewmen and Cpl. Chris Campbell of the Brookfield PD and off-duty at the time stepped up to help, pitching in to change her tire and getting her on her way in short order.

"Our Emergency Services Team is mission driven and community service minded, even if it means we turn into a pit crew for a stranded motorist," the department wrote on Facebook. "We pretty much do it all!"
