Brookfield Police Investigating 'Several' Stolen Vehicles
Police are urging residents to always lock their car doors and to never leave the keys in their cars.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Officers in Brookfield are investigating several incidents of stolen vehicles throughout town.
In a Facebook post Friday, police said that they are investigating several incidents of stolen motor vehicles, as well as the theft of items located in a vehicle in the Candlewood Shores area. Police urged residents to always lock their car doors, remove valuable items from their vehicles, and to never leave the keys inside their vehicles.
"Although we pride ourselves for being one of the safest towns in the state, we are not exempt from crime," wrote the department on Facebook."We ask every resident to always lock car doors, remove valuables and never leave the keys inside the vehicle."

There was also a report of two vehicles stolen in Ridgefield recently, as well as over 20 car break-ins last weekend. The vehicles broken into had been left unlocked.
