Brookfield Resident Joins Greenwich Police
Brookfielder one of four sworn in to the Greenwich Police Department.

It was a heady day for the four new recruits of the Greenwich Police Department as they were sworn in at a Town Hall ceremony and spent the day filling out paperwork and getting acclimated to their new home — headquarters.
The induction included Christopher M. Wallace of Brookfield, a graduate of and the University of Connecticut in Storrs, where he earned a bachelor's degree in history in 2011.
He was employed at Tom’s Paint and Wallpaper in Bethel.

The quartet of recruits finished their day about 3:30 p.m. Monday and were intent on getting instructions on where to park their cars when they continue their orientation this week.
Hours earlier, friends and family witnessed the officers' swearing in ceremony at Greenwich Town Hall, presided over by the town's Police Commissioner and First Selectman Peter Tesei, and Police Chief James Heavey.

The three other new officers are:
- Luke A. Kelly of Harrison, NY, who attended Rye Neck High School in Mamaroneck, NY, and graduated from Westchester Community College in 2007 with an associate’s degree in business administration. He also earned bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in English from Lehman College. He worked as a mental health worker at New York Presbyterian Hospital Westchester Division and is a certified EMT and a volunteer firefighter for the Village of Mamaroneck.
- Alan C. Pesce of Greenwich, graduated Greenwich High School and the University of Connecticut in Storrs where he received a bachelor's degree in business finance in 2007. He was employed at GE Asset Management in Stamford, where he worked in Sales and Client Support. While employed at GE Asset Management he held several different positions including gathering, developing and maintaining sales and client marketing materials.
- Aran J. Tradel of Darien, is a graduate of Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, IA and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in psychology. She is a 2011 graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX with a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies/forensic science. She also completed a three-month internship with the Cedar Falls Police Department in Iowa with the Department of Homeland Security. She also worked as a pharmacy technician in Lubbock.
The new officers will receive training at the Connecticut Police Academy as part of their 18-month probationary period.
The officers are part of a second group of officers to be hired in less than two months. In January, 2 officers were sworn in, as the department continues to replenish its ranks because of retirements and promotions.
