Town Disaster Declared In Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Brookfield Public Schools will be closed Wednesday due to storm damage. There are more than 7,200 Eversource customers without power in town for an outage of about 87 percent.

First Selectman Dunn declared a disaster. There are hundreds of trees, utility poles and power lines down across town. Police ask residents to stay indoors for the evening.
