Brookfield Selectmen Approve Public Works Appropriation

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Board of Selectmen approved appropriation of funds to complete various projects that were delayed due to the May macroburst, The News Times is reporting.

About $41,300 from the general fund will be allocated to the Department of Public Works to complete routine work, such as street sweeping.

The selectmen unanimously approved the appropriation at a meeting on Monday, but the Board of Finance will need to consider the issue at an upcoming meeting.
