Brookfield Sets Earth Day Celebration

Plant a tree, take a tree, and more, at the town's annual Earth Day Celebration

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Conservation Commission and Brookfield Parks and Recreation Department have set aside Saturday, April 27 for the 2019 Earth Day celebration.

The scheduled activities are meant to be both "earth-friendly and family-friendly," and will include helping to plant a tree on the grounds of Town Hall to replace what was lost in last year’s storm.

Participants may plant seeds to take home, take home a free sapling to plant, and help clean up the Kid’s Kingdom area.
