Brookfield VFW to Honor Local Navy SEAL

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Veterans of Foreign Wars will honor a local man killed in combat in Iraq.

Jason D. Lewis, a navy SEAL killed in 2007 during a combat mission in Baghdad, will be honored at a ceremony to be held in VFW Post 10201, recently re-named in Lewis' honor, on Saturday at 11 a.m.

More than 100 guests, including a SEAL with whom Lewis served while in Iraq, as well as state and local dignitaries are scheduled to attend.
