Brookfield to Vote on Budget Tuesday
The $70 million operating budget allocates $26 million for the town, and $44 million for the schools.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Residents will vote Tuesday on a budget that would raise spending by 5.18 percent over the current plan, and increase the tax rate by 2.87 percent.

Broken out further, that municipal plan calls for $18.8 million for town operations, $5.2 million for debt service, $1.8 million for capital projects (including paving the middle school and high school parking lots) and $130,000 for teachers’ retirement.
