Brookfield Zoners Green Light Senior Living Facility

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Zoning Committee has given the go-ahead to a senior living facility on Federal Road, a half mile from The Village at Brookfield Common, on Federal Road, the News-Times has reported.

Designs for the new three-story facility include 136 beds in 89 assisted living room and 26 memory care rooms. The plans also call for the complex to be a mix of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom units. The memory care unit, designed for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease or dementia, would include both private and semi-private units.

Construction could begin as early as this fall.
