Senate
Chris Shays (R): With the finances and polls not in his favor for the August primary, Shays has tapped Karl Rove, the deputy chief of staff of George W. Bush’s administration, for a boost. The two appeared at an event in Greenwich last week, according to the Greenwich Post.
Susan Bysiewicz (D): With the primary in August, Bysiewicz is lagging in the polls compared to the leading Chris Murphy. Her campaign website is also behind, with the last update posted on May 22.
5th District
Chris Donovan (D): The Associated Press reported on how two federal investigations in the fifth district – one of which involves a former aide of Donovan – is bringing back the “Corrupticut” nickname.

Lisa Wilson-Foley (R): One of the federal investigations involves work that Wilson-Foley’s husband’s company did for former Gov. John G. Rowland. She said she herself is not a target of the investigation, according to the Connecticut Post.
