College Board Investigating Complaint Against Brookfield School

The complaint was filed by the mother of a Brookfield High School student

BROOKFIELD, CT — The College Board has received a complaint from the mother of a Brookfield High School student that the principal reviewed the student's Advanced Placement Physics exam answers before they were submitted.

The College Board is the non-profit organization that administers standardized tests and curricula used by schools to promote college-readiness and as part of the college admissions process. Successful completion of Advanced Placement courses, as determined by grades on the exams, allows students to receive credit for those courses in college. College Board police forbids teachers or administers from reviewing the content of an AP exam.

A spokesperson for the College Board confirmed the organization has begun an investigation, but declined to share specific details.
