COVID-19 In Brookfield: 5 Deaths, 135 Confirmed Cases

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed that 135 cases of the new coronavirus have been reported in Brookfield as of Saturday. Five residents have died from COVID-19.
First Selectman Steve Dunn said that the town's "Brookfield Recovers" Fund has now over $36,000 in donations.
The fund "allows the town to help our neighbors who need assistance. This is one of the reasons Brookfield is a great town to live in. Thank you to all who have donated," Dunn posted to the town's website.

Residents may donate by sending a check to the town at 100 Pocono Road and mention "Brookfield Recovers," donate electronically on the town website or directly via PayPal.
Connecticut had its 10th consecutive day of fewer coronavirus hospitalizations, but the state also had 97 newly-reported deaths Saturday.

There were 523 new lab-confirmed coronavirus cases out of 2,236 results along with 41 fewer hospitalizations. There have been 29,287 cases, 2,436 deaths and currently 1,551 hospitalizations.
