Brookfield Chamber Of Commerce To Sponsor Rescheduled Debate Between First Selectmen Candidates On October 28

BROOKFIELD – The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its debate this fall between the two candidates for first selectman – Republican challenger Mel Butow and Democratic incumbent Steve Dunn.

The event, which had been slated for October 22, will now be held on Monday night, October 28, at 7 o’clock in the Seminar Room at Whisconier Middle School. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Scott Benjamin, a reporter for Brookfield Patch and an online Political Science instructor at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, will be the moderator

The chamber has sponsored debates between the candidates for first selectmen during each municipal election since 2009.

The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
