Ex-Finance Director of Brookfield Schools Asks for Accelerated Rehab
The case was continued to April 22.

A Former Brookfield schools official accused of seeking reimbursement for tablets that were never purchases applied for accelerated rehabilitation, the News Times reports.
Art Colley, 57 was arraigned Wednesday.
According to the paper, he was charged with second-degree larceny and third-degree forgery, the maximum penalty for which includes 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines. He is accused of trying to claim reimbursement for three iPads that were never purchased. He submitted an invoice for $987 with his name and signature along with forged receipts.

The district turned over the invoice to police in January after the iPads were not located following an inventory, the paper reports.
If he is granted the accelerated rehabilitation, Colley will be placed on probation for two years and if probation condition are completed, the charges could be dismissed, the paper reports. Colley’s charges were bumped up as it involves defrauding the public.
