Fire Companies Clear Electrical Fire at Professional Center

Both Brookfield fire companies were dispatched to , 60 Old New Milford Road, Thursday, February 9 around 6:30 p.m. to investigate an odor of smoke in the building.

Under the command of Candlewood Company Assistant Chief Jason Broad, firefighters investigating located a strong plastic burning smell on the third floor. Units gained entry to the roof and located an electrical box to an HVAC unit that had caught fire and melted.

No one was injured and the building remained open for business while the fire marshal remained on scene investigating.
