Fliers Made to Aid Search for Manning

New England non-profit joins effort to find missing Brookfield teen.

A non-profit organization based in New Hampshire, LostNMissing, is trying to help find , who was last seen at a mall in Milford on Friday, March 9.

The volunteer organization works to spread information about missing persons through social and traditional media, as well as creating posters and fliers for people to print out and hang in visible places [see attached flier]. They also help to counsel family members through the various trials of such an ordeal.

President and founder of LostNMissing Cynthia Caron heard about Manning’s disappearance and was eager to get involved and help out.

“I also have a ‘special interest’” in this particular case, Caron said, “as my own son, age 22, is special needs and very much like Henry,” who has a nonverbal learning disability, a disorder that makes it difficult for him to interpret body language and social mannerisms.

Getting information out there is the most important part of the current search effort, according to Brookfield police officer Gary Gramling, who is leading the investigation along with a team of officers.

“We get a photo out there, get the information out to the media and then we start to get calls,” Gramling said Wednesday, explaining the procedure once . “We get phone calls saying, ‘I saw the person there,’ ‘I think I saw the person,’ then follow up on every tip,” though so far none have gotten police any closer to discovering Manning’s whereabouts.

Gramling said the department is staying in constant communication with the family, sharing information back and forth and hoping for a break in the case.

Caron said that her organization does work with police and families directly but is working independently on this search effort. Families can get one-on-one assistance by registering through the LostNMissing website.
