Former Brookfield Town Controller to Pay Town $111,000+ in Overpaid Pension Funds

The $111,000 total repayment includes interest of over $31,500.

Raymond Bolek, former The Town of Brookfield controller must repay more than $111,000 in overpaid pension benefits, according to The News Times.

But Bolek is challenging the town’s figures, the paper reports, and has hired an attorney.

Former First Selectman Bill Davidson announced in September that he repaid pension payments if $8,500 while he was serving as a selectman. Current First Selectman Steve Dunn told the paper that the town will continue to correct mistakes made in prior administrations.
