FILLED FINISH -    This is what we also call a “grain filled finish” or a “piano finish” which is a smooth glass-like finish on wood produced when the open pores of the wood grain are filled, like on an expensive piano. The result is a formal looking finish especially seen on mahogany and walnut furniture. This is both a time-consuming and laborious process, but the results are nothing short of spectacular!
