Historical Society Hosts 1940s Christmas Holiday Open House

1940s holiday party at the Brookfield Museum this Saturday.

Barbara Golde, exhibit director for the , holds up a vintage Howdy Doody Puppet, one of the items on display at the Brookfield Museum this coming Saturday, December 17. The Society will host a 1940s Christmas Open House complete with period tree decorations, vintage toys and holiday music reminiscent of the era, as well as the sounds of antique music boxes playing well-known Christmas favorites. 

Attendees will be treated to complimentary homemade Christmas cookies, assorted pastries, and hot mulled cider. The open house will take place on from noon to 4 p.m., at the Brookfield Museum, located at the junction of Routes 25 and 133 in Brookfield Center. Admission is free.
