Vetstreet.com recently compiled a list of the 20 Trendiest Dog Breeds (and Mixes) in America. Utilizing an extensive data base, Vetstreet, ( a site that encompasses a variety of topics as 'healthy pets visit vets'), ranked breeds and hybrids dependent upon their popularity growth between 2002 and 2012.

Here they are.  Sooooo "Sit, Stay."

1) Goldendoodle. ~~ an intelligent cross between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle.

2) Puggle ~~ a designer mix between a Pug and a Beagle.

3) Labradoodle ~~ a trainable cross of a Labrador and a Poodle.

4) Cane Corso ~~ a purebred Italian Mastiff.

5) Maltipoo ~~ the playful mix of a Maltese and a Toy Poodle.

6) French Bulldog ~~ a happy-go-lucky pure-breed.

7) Yorkipoo ~~ a friendly cross between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Miniature Poodle.

8) Shihpoo ~~ see the alert expression in this Shih Tzu and a Miniature Poodle cross.

9) Dogue de Bordeaux ~~ a gentle giant pure-breed.

10) Havanese ~~ a bright, small pure-breed.

11) Coton de Tulear ~~ a fluffy small pure-breed that makes a good watchdog.

12) Blackmouth Cur ~~ A pure-breed who is a loving family member.

13) Cur ~~ (unknown/mix)...loves treeing.

14) Mastiff ~~ the classic, BIG pure-breed.

15) TIE...Bulldog and American Bulldog ~~ The Bulldog is a family favorite and the American Bulldog is alert and powerful.

17) TIE... Bernese Mountain Dog and Great Dane ~~ The Bermese Mountain Dog is 110 pounds of calm temperament...pure-breed and the Great Dane is a majestic pure-breed.

19) TIE... Mountain Cur and Anatolian Shepard ~~ The Mountain Cur is an athletic, medium dog and the Anatolian Shepard is a protective pure-breed.
