The Women's Club held its largest fundraising activity to date with the Brookfield Home Tour on October 12, 2013. Seven area homes, many of them historical, were opened to the public for guided tours. More than 40 docents accompanied the tour takers throughout the homes. Many of the docents were local realtors, assembled with the assistance of Home Tour Committee Chair Betty Hensal and Lucy Blessey, both area realtors and club members.
Sponsors included Hensal Realty; Kellie Martone & Assoc.; Newtown Savings Bank; Savings Bank of Danbury; Pathways Counseling of CT; Union Savings Bank; Rand Whitney Container, and Lucy Blessey- Wm. Pitt Sotheby's International Real Estate.
Items and/or services were contributed by Shakespeare's Garden, Whisconier Florists, Blue Jay Orchards, Shop Rite, Stew Leonard's and The First Congregational Church of Brookfield.
