Housing Committee Hosts Public Hearing on Affordable Housing Appeals Procedure
The meeting is on the 8-30g Affordable Housing Land Use Appeals Procedure that impacts a proposed development in Brookfield.

The Housing Committee is hosting a public hearing regarding the 8-30g Affordable Housing bill on Tuesday in Hartford.
Brookfield First Selectman Steve Dunn and state Rep. Stephen Harding held a press conference last Friday regarding their opposition to the affordable housing law, 8-30g, which grants developers some powers over municipal governments.
The law allows developers to get around certain zoning regulations as long as the developers include some affordable using units in their projects.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at the State Capital Building in Hartford in room 2B.
