Huckleberry Students Thank Brookfield Police Officers
Elementary students showed their appreciation to Brookfield officers this week.
Huckleberry Hill Elementary School (HHES) students, parents, teachers and faculty made gift baskets and presented them to the Brookfield police officers that have been watching over them the last few months.
“They wanted to do something in recognition of the police officers that have been so much more of a presence in the school lately,” principal Mary Rose Dymond said.
Since the shocking events in neighboring Newtown in December, Youth Officer Gary Gramling has been making extra stops at the school and a Brookfield officer has been on hand each day during drop-off and pick-up times.
