IMTI’s executives received their recognition during the New York City Department of Education’s Construction and Sustainability Industry Commission’s meeting held at the Consortium for Worker Education on Seventh Avenue in Manhattan. Founder Marcel Veronneau commented, “To date, IMTI has provided NCCER’s sponsorship to students taking courses in the technical fields of HVAC, electrical and plumbing in seven New York City schools. We are hopeful we will be asked to provide sponsorship in additional schools throughout the New York metropolitan area.
NCCER’s industry-specific curriculums provide the tools for students to go on to succeed as certified professional technicians in their trade/craft of choice. IMTI has worked for several years with the New York City Department of Education to sponsor these nationally-recognized NCCER course curriculums for students to become future licensed contractors.”

This progressive program has evolved into curricula for more than 70 craft/trade areas and a series of more than 70 assessments offered in over 4,000 NCCER-accredited training and assessment locations across the United States.
NCCER’s accreditation process assures that students and craft professionals receive quality training based on uniform national standards and criteria. These nationally-recognized standards must be adhered to by all NCCER Accredited Training Sponsors such as IMTI, and Accredited Assessment Centers.
