BROOKFIELD, CT — Dr. Tom McMorran resigned as Brookfield High School's interim principal on Friday, The News Times reports.

McMorran stepped in as principal in October, after Principal Mark Balanda took a leave of absence, the report said. McMorran has also been superintendent and interim superintendent of the Easton-Redding-Region 9 school district, according to the News Times.

The district superintendent said the reason for McMorran's resignation was not related to the students, staff, and faculty at the high school, the News Times reported.
