Iroquois Pipeline Project Open for Discussion in Brookfield

The project has been proposed as a "compression only" alternative to provide additional firm natural gas transportation to NY utilities.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Iroquois Pipeline Operating Company will be holding an informational open house for Brookfield residents on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3. Representatives from the company will discuss the proposed ExC (Enhancement by Compression) Project which would add approximately 24,000 hydrostatic pressure of compression and gas cooling at the compressor station in Brookfield.

The project has been proposed as a "compression only" alternative to provide additional firm natural gas transportation to New York utilities, according to the overview made available online by the Town.

Upgrades are also being proposed for the company's facilities in Milford, as well as compressor stations in Athens and Dover, N.Y.

The meeting will be held at Brookfield Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road, from 6 to 8 p.m.
