"Mac Attack for a Cure" a GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you!!!!!

http://o1.aolcdn.com/dims-shared/dims3/PATCH/format/jpg/quality/82/resize/125x100^/crop/125x100%2B16...St Joseph School in Brookfield hosted their Second Annual St Baldrick’s Head Shaving Event the past Saturday from 10-2pm.  Over 60 men woman and children were sponsored by family and friends to have their heads shaved to raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer. This wonderful event, sponsored by St Joseph Elementary School in Brookfield and chaired by school parents Mike and Dianna Sobutka raised over $25000 last year and we are still awaiting this years results.

Our community has been touched by insidious disease most recently through Brookfield high school sophomore Brandon Zenevitch who is battling his cancer through upcoming chemotherapy and radiation treatments and in March through little princess Mackenzie Newsome who went home to Heaven in March of this year.  Mackenzie’s parents, Mike and Melissa Newsome have graciously agreed to allow the fight for a cure to be carried on in Mac’s name and honor through ... “Join the Mac Attack for a miracle cure.”

If you would like to lend your support to this event you still have time by going tohttp://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/8192/2013 ... and mark you calendar for next year’s event which will be the weekend prior to the end of school for the summer!
