New Brookfield PD Headquarters Pitched
Officials are considering whether to renovate the current building or build a new one entirely.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Town officials are debating whether to build a new police headquarters or renovate the current building.
An architect pitched a 22,550 square foot building over the current 12,950 square foot one, according to the News-Times.
Chief James Purcell estimated that renovations would cost $8.5 million, but said the current building is at its limit as it was designed in the 1980's when there were less calls for service and few officers on the force.
