• Doctor arrested on sexual assault charge in Brookfield (newportdispatch.com) — Brookfield police have arrested local natural-medicine doctor Jose Mahfoud after a months-long investigation into allegations involving a juvenile patient at Sophia Natural Health Center in town. Investigators say he provided methamphetamine and engaged in a sexual relationship with the minor, communicating via Telegram. Mahfoud faces charges of second-degree sexual assault and distributing a controlled substance to someone under 18, and the center cooperated with authorities.
