Police Blotter: Arrests for Drug Possession, Violation of Probation

Brookfield Police stopped Kevin Grant, 24, of Darien, at 1:17 a.m., for failure to drive in the proper lane on Candlewood Lake Road. An investigation resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription medications without a prescription. 

Grant is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court later that day.

New Canaan Police also had an active warrant for Grant. He was transported to New Canaan Police after being released from Brookfield’s custody.

Catherine Lodato, of Brookfield, was located and taken into custody on an arrest warrant dated August 13, 2009, on charges of violation of probation/conditional discharge.

Lodato was later released after posting $1,000 bond with a court date set for March 15 in Danbury Superior Court.
