Police Blotter: Bad Check; Two Suspended Licenses
The following arrest information was supplied by the Brookfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, October 16
Maya Curto, 46, of Marli Lane, Redding, was placed under arrest for allegedly issuing a bad check on May 13, 2011. Curto was arrested Sunday and charged with issuing a bad check and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on October 28.

At 7:30 p.m., Sergio Perez, 41, of Bayberry Lane, Danbury, was observed speeding on Nabby Road at 45 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. Police stopped Perez and it was found that he was driving under suspension.
Perez was arrested and charged with traveling unreasonably fast and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was released on $500 bond with a court date set for October 25 in Danbury Superior Court.

At 4:33 p.m., Andrew Mota, 23, of Top Stone Drive, Danbury, was found operating a motor vehicle and towing a vehicle with camp trailer registration plates. Mota was found to have a license with a suspended status and the trailer was being used for commercial purposes but was bearing a non-commercial registration.
Mota was issued a misdemeanor summons on charges of unnecessary noise, improper use of registration, failure to have stop lamps/turn signals and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on October 25.
