Blotter: Cocaine Arrest; Domestic Uncovers Warrants

Tuesday, November 29

Brookfield police investigated suspicious activity at the Sandy Lane Condominium Complex around 2:30 a.m. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Timothy Lorkiewicz, of Homestead Lane, Brookfield, for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Lorkiewicz was released on $500 bond with a court date set for December 12 at Danbury Superior Court.

At approximately 6 a.m., Richard Watson, 27, of Town Hill Road, Danbury, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant for failure to appear in the second degree, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct. He was transported to Danbury Superior Court for arraignment later that day and bond was set at $250.

Monday, November 28

Police responded to a Candlewood Lake Road address for a reported suspicious male individual complaint. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Michael Mazur, 35, of Wildman Street, Danbury.

Mazur was charged with breach of peace and simple trespass and released on $500 bond with a court date on December 6.

Saturday, November 26

Brookfield officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Longview Drive at 1:33 p.m. Elizabeth Shimeski, 44, and Edwin Taylor, 47, both of Longview Drive, were involved in a physical altercation. Both parties were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree: minor injury or intent to cause injury.

Taylor was also charged with strangulation in the third degree and two warrants were discovered for Shimeski for violation of probation, both carrying a $5,000 court-ordered bond. Shimeski was held at Brookfield Police Department pending a November 28 court date. Taylor was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on the same date.
