Police Blotter: Failure to Appear and Paraphernalia Found After Accident

Michael Tagani, 45, of Danbury, turned himself in to Brookfield Police on an outstanding PRAWN warrant for failure to appear in court. Tagani was processed and released after posting $500 bond, with a new date to appear in Danbury Superior Court.

Kate Gurtier, 23, of South Salem, NY, was involved in a motor vehicle accident at around 5 a.m. Thursday morning. Upon arrival, police allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and that the driver did not have up-to-date insurance. Gurtier was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain mandatory security requirements. She was processed and released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday, August 17.
