Police Blotter: Juveniles Arrested for Assault, Shoplifting

Thursday, December 8
A mother and daughter had a verbal argument in the car that became physical by the daughter. The daughter, whose name is not being released because she is a juvenile, allegedly struck her mother several times in the arm, then kicked her mother’s vehicle several times causing damage.
The mother came to the to file a complaint that resulted in the arrest of the juvenile after a brief investigation. The juvenile was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, assault in the third degree: minor injury or intent to cause injury and breach of peace in the second degree.

The daughter was released into the custody of her mother with a court date set for December 12.

Loss prevention officers at caught a 17-year-old youth stealing merchandise at 2:38 p.m. The accused was subsequently arrested by police officers and released on a written promise to appear in court on the charge of larceny in the sixth degree.
