Police Blotter: Two Arrested on Separate Assault Charges

Anthony DeCaro, 51, of Brookfield, was allegedly involved in a verbal argument at around 7:41 p.m. on Thursday. During the course of the argument, DeCaro allegedly struck the other person involved, causing minor injury. DeCaro was subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

He was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on November 4 at 10 a.m.

Thursday, November 4

At 10 p.m., John Rasmussen, 37, of Brookfield, turned himself in to Brookfield Police on charges of sexual assault in the fourth degree stemming from an incident that occurred on October 1, 2010. Rasmussen was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on January 16, 2010, at 10 a.m.
