Police Blotter: Two Arrested on Heroin Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Brookfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, August 3

Paul Northrop, 30, of Mountain View Terrace, Danbury, was pulled over at 3:20 a.m. for speeding. After Brookfield police K9 (Bruno) altered on the car, a pipe that Northrop stated was used for smoking illegal drugs was seized and the passenger, Thomas Sokol, of Tucks Road, Brookfield, was found to be in possession of Heroin.

Both were taken into custody. Northrop was charged with traveling unreasonably fast, failure to display number plate, failure to carry license and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on $1,000 bond. Sokol was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released on $5,000 bond. Both men were scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court later that day.
