Police Blotter: Two Caught for Graffiti, Two Surrender on Larceny

Sunday, August 8
Shortly after 9 p.m., Brookfield Police received a call of suspicious activity near route 7. The responding officers reported observing two males actively painting graffiti. The two males ran, but were apprehended after a short chase through the woods. Over 20 cans of spray paint were found, along with 150 spray caps/nozzles and more sketches.
James Garron, III, 30, of Danbury, and Stalin Estevez, 38, of Danbury, were arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, criminal trespass in the second degree and littering.

Saturday, August 14
Brian Dunn, 33, of Hawthorne, NJ, turned himself in on an active warrant for charges of larceny in the third degree. Dunn is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on August 24. Bond was set at $10,000.

Richon Vanderveen-Wojciechowski, 25, of New Milford, turned himself in to Brookfield Police on a warrant pertaining to an investigation into break-in and theft-from several vehicles parked at Brookfield town parks. Vanderveen-Wojciechowski is charged with four counts of criminal mischief in the second degree; conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the second degree; four counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, two in the fifth degree, two in the sixth; one count of conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree and one in the sixth degree. A court date was set for August 24 at Danbury Superior Court and bail was set at $5,000.
