Police Blotter: Two Danbury Drivers Charged with DUI
The following arrest information was supplied by the Brookfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, October 5
Brookfield police received reports of an erratic driver at 11:21 p.m. The witness who called 9-1-1 stated she was following the driver, later identified at Calvin Mooney, 31, of Mountain View Terrace, Danbury, and that he struck a pole and continued to drive.
Mooney was located in the parking lot of 70 Candlewood Lake Road, where he was issued standardized field sobriety tests. He did not perform to standard and was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multi-lane highway. He was released on $500 bond with a court date of October 18 in Danbury Superior Court.

Lawrence Bosworth, of Old Brookfield Road, Danbury, was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 4:32 p.m. An investigation at the scene and a field sobriety test concluded that he had been intoxicated at the time of the crash. While being placed under arrest, he allegedly physically resisted while being handcuffed before being subdued and secured in a police vehicle.
Upon arrival at the Brookfield Police Department for processing, Bosworth reportedly became physically combative inside the holding area and was again subdued and eventually secured.
He was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, unsafe backing and interfering with an officer and was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on October 21.
