Police Charge Brookfield Man, 70, with Patronizing Prostitute
The arrest followed the random inspection of a massage parlor on Monday.
TORRINGTON, CT — Police charged a Brookfield man with patronizing a prostitute following their random inspection of a Torrington massage parlor, the News-Times is reporting.
Robert Phillips, 70, of Longmeadow Hill Road in Brookfield, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, and Ding Qingfen, 55, of Hoffman Street in Torrington, was charged with prostitution.
The Torrington fire marshal, the state Department of Labor and Department of Health conducted random inspections at two massage parlors in Torrington on Monday. During the inspection of Graceful Massage Spa, "suspicious activity" led to the arrest of Phillips and Qingfen, the spa's owner, according to the report.
