Police Charge Stratford Man with Sexual Assault

Man pleads "not guilty" to multiple counts.

A Stratford man turned himself in to Brookfield police last week on an active bench warrant charging him with multiple counts of sexual assault.

At 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 27, Michael McCullough, 46, of Anson Street, Stratford, came to Brookfield Police Department to turn himself in and was photographed, fingerprinted and processed without incident.

McCullough is charged with two counts of coercion, one count of making a false statement in the second degree, one count of sexual assault in the third degree (sexual contact) and two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree (sexual contact without consent).

McCullough was held on $50,000 bond and pled “not guilty” to all charges on Feb. 27 in Danbury Superior Court. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 13.
