Police Issue 33 Tickets at Seatbelt Checkpoint

Drivers were issued violations for not wearing their seatbelts, as well as talking on the phone and one commercial violation.

On Tuesday, May 31, the 4-Town Regional Crew set up a safety belt checkpoint at the intersection of Route 133 and Federal Road.

Between 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., officers pulled 33 vehicles out of line for various violations: six were cited for cell phone use, 26 seatbelt violations and one was cited for a commercial vehicle violation.
