Police K-9 Helps Locate Suicidal Teen
Brookfield's police K-9 assisted officers in locating a suicidal teenage female on Wednesday night when temps were in the low 20s.

Brookfield police used their police K-9 to help locate a suicidal female teen on Wednesday, according to a police report.
At approximately 11:28 p.m. Wednesday night, Brookfield Police officers were dispatched to the area of 540 Federal Road to locate a suicidal, 17-year-old, female who ran into the woods.
When officers arrived, they determined the suicidal threat was credible, established a perimeter, and secured the last seen location of the girl.
Temperatures were in the 20s with wind chills making it feel even colder, so officers recognized the immediate need for police K-9 assistance, and requested Brookfield’s police K-9 Bruno be brought to the scene.
Canine Bruno and his handler Sgt. Jeff Osuch came and found the teen within fifteen minutes hiding behind a local business.
She was taken to Danbury Hospital by emergency medical service personnel from the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department. Her condition is unknown at this time.
