A Rainbow Over Brookfield (PHOTOS)

BROOKFIELD, CT -- In the Old Testament, we're told the rainbow is meant to be a sign of a covenant between the heavens and the earth. Whether that's true, or whether Mother Nature just thought she owed the town at least an ephemeral shot of color after all the ugly macrobursting she threw our way in May, we'll never know for sure.

But we'll take it, nonetheless.

Brookfield resident Kelly Manning, who documented so much of the damage for Patch after the macroburst hit last month, contributed these shots of Mom Nature's gentler side this time around.
