Reckless Driving Leads to Arrest for Possession
New Milford resident arrested after police allegedly found pills in his car.

According to Brookfield police, Justin Bartholomew, 24, of Dons Terrace, New Milford, was allegedly operating a vehicle in a reckless manner around 4 a.m. on Feb. 23 while driving southbound on Federal Road, just before to the Route 7 highway.
A traffic stop was conducted near the I-84 junction and an investigation and subsequent field sobriety tests resulted in Bartholomew’s arrest at the scene. A small amount of pills, which were not properly stored in an appropriate container, were found inside the vehicle and were identified as a controlled substance.
Bartholomew was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, reckless operation and illegal possession of a controlled substance. He posted $1,000 bond and was released with a court date scheduled for March 5.
