Updated: Reports of Drug Enforcement Activity on North Lake Shore Drive
Drug agencies were reportedly at a home in Brookfield Thursday evening, along with Brookfield and Danbury Police.

Brookfield and Danbury Police, in conjunction with the state Drug Control Division (DCD), part of the Department of Consumer Protection, and federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), were reportedly on North Lake Shore Drive in Brookfield Thursday from shortly after 9 p.m. until late into the evening, according to sources.
Officials from the DCD declined to confirm or deny whether they were in Brookfield yesterday and calls for comment to the New England Division of the DEA were not returned as of the last posting.
Brookfield Police Major Jay Purcell declined to comment, as the case is "not our investigation," but did confirm that an agency requested assistance from the department and "we provided that assistance."

He would not confirm which agency made the request.
Purcell said Brookfield Police were asked to assist at 8 p.m. and "were there for awhile," but could not release a specific time.

According to sources within the Danbury Police Department, agents from the Special Investigations Division were at the scene late into the night, however Danbury Police officials declined to comment on the investigation at this time.
