SHU in Fairfield Taps Brookfield Administrator For New Role

Brookfield assistant superintendent Maureen Ruby is leaving that job for a newly minted position at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Assistant superintendent Maureen Ruby will step down from that role to take on a new position with Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, according to the News-Times.

Ruby will become the first Isabelle Farrington endowed chair of social, emotional and academic leadership at SHU and join the faculty as an associate professor in August.

According to her profile on LinkedIn, Ruby has been working at SHU as an adjunct professor in the school's Doctoral Program in Social Emotional and Academic Leadership since August 2018. She holds a doctorate degree in special education and literacy from the University of Connecticut.

At SHU, Ruby will be conducting research, as well as instructing doctoral students in the social, emotional and academic leadership program.
