Sponsors Needed for Whisconier Middle School's Annual WMS Walkathon 2016

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!!! WMS WALKATHON 2016!

It's that time of year again. School is in session, and it is time for Whisconier Middle School's annual fundraiser, the WMS Walkathon 2016. We are reaching out to local businesses that are supported by the families of over 900 WMS students. Please support the Whisconier Middle School PTO! Deadline for sponsorships: Friday, October 14th!

Our different level sponsorship opportunities are a great way to get recognition and marketing for your business on the Facebook group Brookfield CT Business & Happenings with almost 2000 members and growing and on the WMS PTO website, which is a new helpful site for parents to stay up-to-date on anything having to do with the school, PTO and sponsors supporting our school. You will also be thanked in an email blast to all the families. Most importantly, you will be supporting our local schools and contributing to our community. It's our only PTO fundraiser of the year that helps to fund many free programs for the students, cultural events, enrichment programs, academic breakfasts, 8th grade collage, school awards, authors visits, 8th grade moving up ceremony, teachers' grants, and much more!

During the Walkathon, both staff and students walk laps around the school to music hosted by a DJ followed by drinks and snacks. The students get chances to win raffle prizes and also a chance to dunk the principal and teachers in a dunk tank. Unlike other schools, the WMS PTO aims to have only ONE fundraiser per year! As long as our Walkathon is successful, there will be no other fundraisers, which is a huge relief for the parents! In addition to sponsorships, student Walkathon donations help our fundraiser also. Our continued hope is that the Walkathon will give students the opportunity to be involved in a school-wide activity and will give them the feeling that they’ve contributed to a successful event for their school, all while raising money that benefits their school directly.
