State Police Arrest Local Woman on DWI

A Brookfield woman was arrested Friday for DWI after a fellow driver alerted police she was operating her vehicle erratically.

Nancy Lombard, 63, of Brookfield, was arrested by state police for failing to stay in the established lane and driving while intoxicated on Friday at approximately 11:42 p.m.

State Police from Troop ‘A’ Southbury received a 911 call from a concerned driver regarding a vehicle they observed failing to maintain their lane of travel on I-84 West in Newtown. Following the call, state police located the described vehicle and witnessed the erratic operation. 

A subsequent interview and field sobriety test led police to suspect Lombard was intoxicated. Lombard was taken into custody and submitted two breath test, both of which were over the legal limit of .08.

Lombardi was released on $750 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 6.
