Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Comes Forward
Danbury Police are working with the suspect and the suspect vehicle in last week's fatal hit and run accident on West Street.

Danbury Police Chief Al Baker said the suspect in last week's hit and run came forward with his car and a lawyer to begin working with police.
"The driver came forward, and he is working with us," said Baker, who said the suspect also gave police the car and police are continuing the investigation.
Dong Lin, 19, of Brookfield, a student at Western Connecticut State University, Tuesday, November 22, as he walked across White Street near Hoffman Fuel. He was transported to Danbury Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Witnesses later gave police a partial license plate on the vehicle, which proved to be wrong, Baker said.
"When we get to the bottom of it, we'll be going to Mr. Sedensky's office," Baker said, speaking of Danbury's States Attorney.

Baker said the investigation is continuing, and if charges are filed, they will be sought through the prosecutor's office.
"It's way too early to speculate about any charges," Baker said.
