Update: 2-Vehicle Accident Leads to Lane Closures on I-84
The accident is in Brookfield and is leading to more than a six mile delay in Brookfield, Bethel, Newtown and Danbury.
Update 10 a.m.:
The News Times reports the accident has been cleared, however traffic is still backed up along Routes 6 and 25 into Newtown.

Incident: Motor Vehicle Accident - BROOKFIELD
Description: I-84 Westbound is congested between Exits 10 and 8 (6.3 miles) because of Motor Vehicle Accident (2 Vehicle) between Exits 9 and 8. The left lane is closed.
